This ‘Piru’ selection of Opuntia ficus-indica was wild-sourced by Farmer Mark along the 126 freeway near Santa Paula. A classic spiny prickly pear, it produces sweet fruit with yellow to deep red skin and grows vigorously in dry, sunny conditions. An excellent addition to edible drought-tolerant landscapes.
